Greater New Bedford Community Computer Centers

WELCOME! To New Bedford, Massachusetts and the home of the soon to be established GNBC3, New Bedford's first ever Community Computer Centers! Our Vision is to provide places for people in the community to go to learn new computer skills like word processing, desktop publishing and to explore the Internet. We have selected 3 sites in New Bedford that will become GNBC3 sites located in the South, Center and North-West Ends of the city. We're hoping to open our doors to the public on a limited basis in the near future, and we plan to offer expanded hours as well as offer workshops in a variety of software programs by the Fall of 1996. GNBC3 an affiliate of CTCNet , a national network community-based technology centers. We are part of a national partnership with Apple Computers and CTCNet which recently awarded the GNBC3 a package of 5 Multi-Media Computers, scanner, printer and digital camera. (We can't wait to set them up and open our doors to use them!) We have received additional computer, software and Internet account donations from: the East-West Foundation, New Bedford Standard-Times/Ultra-Net , The Providence Journal , Lotus Corporation, Microsoft and Tom Snyder Software.
